- Manage a team of people who themselves are responsible for supervising others
AND/OR
- Previous training/ qualifications in Team Leading or Management (e.g.: CMI Certificate in First Line Management)
- Allocate responsibility within your team and to other teams /Depts
- Achieve results by making decisions about the effective allocation of time and resources
- Control limited financial budgets
- Set team/Dept goals and targets that contribute to organisational goals/targets
- Contribute to broader organisational initiatives such as change and quality programmes
- Initiate, develop and/or deliver projects for the organisation
- First role leading a small team
- About to start/less than 6 months in this role
- No previous training/ qualifications in Team Leading or Management
- Some responsibility for planning work, problem solving and decision making
- Operational responsibility for communicating the goals and objectives of the organisation to the team
- 6 months+ experience in managing a team
AND/OR
- Previous training/ qualifications in Team Leading or Management (e.g. CMI Certificate in Team Leading)
- Ensure effective relationships and communication within/between the member of your team and others
- Manage the performance of individual team members, including setting of individual objectives and performance reviews
- Motivate and develop the performance of people in your Team/Dept
- Some responsibility for identifying resources needed, selecting and recruiting team members
